Starting the stage in Lugo: “where shall we have breakfast”?:
If it´s still to early to have breakfast in the numerous business of the city when you are leaving in the morning, don´t worry, you´ll find another chance about 8 km ahead, in San Vicente do Burgo, where you can take a break at the machines of Casa Zapateiro, which also offers a toilet, tap water and a microwave.
Some meters further, a signposted detour can be find on your right hand, which leads to the Bar Parrillada As Searas, placed in front of the nice XVIII Century village church.
Friendly advice: visit SANTA EULALIA DE BÓVEDA!:
There is an archaeological and patrimonial treasure that, despite being really near the Camino Primitivo between Lugo and San Román da Retorta, almost no pilgrim visits: The Archaeological site of Santa Eulalia de Bóveda, declared National Artistic Historical Monument in 1931. The added 3,5 km you need to walk (total) in the stage will be regarded, we assure. But we also recommend checking updated info in order to ensure it´s opened the day you´re going, and the schedule: It´s usually closed on afternoons, as well as Sunday, Monday and holiday days. The info phone number is (+34)982160124, or you can ask in Tourism Office at Lugo.
«And… What about lunch?»:
It might seem like there is not a place to eat something between Lugo and Ferreira. Nothing could be further from the truth: Beside the places mentioned before, where lunch is available as well, you will find Mesón de Crecente at Taboeiro, approximately 1 km before San Román on your right hand, 17 km away from Lugo, Taberna de San Román in the propper village or the Albergue Casa Cándido leaving it, just in front of the public albergue.
